In week four of Active Faith we do a thorough study of the First
Amendment. We evaluate the quotations from the men who drafted
the first amendment (including the "establishment clause"
and the "free exercise" clause). Then we compare and
contrast the Founders and Framers original ideas with contemporary
judicial activists and revisionist historians who want us to believe
that the Founders intended to separate the church from having
any influence in government. The evidence to the contrary is overwhelming.
Resources used directly in preparation for this class, or that
are highly recommended for further study and research, are accessed
by clicking the links above. Note: The Active Faith CD that is
issued at the conclusion of the class contains over 1,000 documents.
These are not stored on the web site due to space limitations
but are available on our CD. We strongly recommend the books,
tapes, CDs, DVDs, etc, listed below.
